To Earn The Designation
To earn the designation, you must complete 15 classes and pass a comprehensive final examination. The exam is an open book 200 question comprehensive review that you take at home. It also asks you to “write up a deal” in response to one of 3 specific topics. The essay’s purpose is to help you to “pull together” what you have learned from many, if not all, of the classes you have completed. Many graduates have told us that the essay helped them get their “footing” with their own deals, after becoming certified.
The Institute will then provide your Certificate, a license to use the Certified Commercial Leasing Specialist (CCLS) title, the CD containing practical forms that you can use right away in your practice. You will also receive a professional profile webpage that displays your own practice areas and submarkets, so potential clients can find you easily. You can get warm and hot leads as a result. As your practice evolves, you provide us with changes you want on your own webpage (we do the work).

“When I was facing a career change (retiring from the Air Force) I wanted to hit the ground fast. I took the Certified Commercial Sales and Leasing Specialist programs. With your practical training under my belt, it was easy to become accepted right away in a large national commercial brokerage. Now, in only two years, I am making more than I did as an officer in the Air Force, and have gained recognition as a top performer. Thanks, CREI.
