Certified Commercial Sales Specialist




The Certified Commercial Sales Specialist designation provides advanced education, knowledge, and sales training for Commercial Real Estate agents.

The designation gives you an edge over your competition, and makes it is easier to get commercial listings, buyers, and clients.

Though each course can be taken independently for professional development, you must complete the following 15 courses to earn your Certified Commercial Sales Specialist (CCSS) designation:
  • CCSS 101: Introduction to Commercial Real Estate
  • CCSS 102: Legal Preventive Maintenance
  • CCSS 103: Advanced 1031 Exchanges
  • CCSS 104: Valuation of Commercial Property
  • CCSS 105: Income/Expense Analysis: APOD
  • CCSS 106: Effective Listing Techniques for Commercial Real Estate
  • CCSS 107: Marketing and Sales Techniques
  • CCSS 108: Fair Dealing and Professional Standards
  • CCSS 109: Commercial Contract Form
  • CCSS 110: Commercial Financing
  • CCSS 111: Buyer Representation
  • CCSS 112: Ethics & Rules for Buyer/Tenant Representation
  • CCSS 113: Commercial Property Environmental Issues
  • CCSS 114: Disclosure and Due Diligence
  • CCSS 115: Client Communication
To Earn The Designation

To earn the designation, you must complete 15 classes and pass a comprehensive final examination. The exam is an open book, comprehensive review that you take at home. Your exam is part test and part essay.

Upon successful completion, the Institute will then provide your Certificate, a license to use the Certified Commercial Sales Specialist (CCSS) title, a CD containing practical forms that you can use right away in your practice, and a profile page with the Institute that displays your own practice areas so potential clients can find you easily. You can get warm and hot leads as a result. As your practice evolves, simply provide us with any changes and we’ll update your profile!.
