NEW HAMPSHIRE Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Requirements



How do I earn a NEW HAMPSHIRE real estate license? You start by making sure you meet the state licensing requirements, then you must take the required training and pass the NEW HAMPSHIRE real estate license exam.

Eligibility Requirements

New Hampshire Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Requirements

The Requirements For A Real Estate Salesperson License In New Hampshire Include:
  • Being At Least 18 Years Of Age
  • Having Completed At Least 40 Hours Of Approved Real Estate Courses
  • Providing A Signed Statement From The Real Estate Broker They Will Be Affiliated With, Stating That The Applicant Is Of Good Moral Character And Is Trustworthy
  • Having No Record Of Unprofessional Conduct
New Hampshire Real Estate Broker Licensing Requirements

The Requirements For A Real Estate Broker License In New Hampshire Include:
  • Being At Least 18 Years Of Age
  • Having At Least One Year Full-Time, Or 2000 Hours Part-Time, Active Experience As A Real Estate Salesperson
  • Successfully Completing 60 Hours Of Approved Real Estate Education Courses
  • Submitting A Surety Bond; Inactive Licenses Do Not Need To Provide The Surety Bond
New Hampshire General Real Estate Licensing Requirements

All Applicants For A Real Estate License In New Hampshire Need To:
  • Provide Proof Of Being Trustworthy With No Undischarged Court Judgments Against Them
  • Provide Signed Affidavits From Three Character References
  • Successfully Pass The Real State Exams
  • Either Apply For The License Within Six Months Of Passing The Examinations Or Else Retake The Exams
New Hampshire Real Estate License Renewal/Continuing Education Requirements

Real Estate Licenses In New Hampshire Are Issued For A Two Year Period And There Is A Six Month Grace Period From The Expiration Date In Which To Renew The License Without Having To Retake The Exams And Re-Qualify For The License. However, There Is A Penalty Fee For Not Renewing On Time.

Licensees Must Also Successfully Complete Nine Hours Of Approved Continuing Education Courses In Order To Renew Their License. Inactive Real Estate Agents Only Need Three Hours Of Approved Continuing Education Courses.
