All Arizona mortgage loan originators must complete 20 hours of NMLS approved education and become licensed under Arizona laws.
To become a loan originator you must have completed at least 20 hours of education during the two years immediately preceeding the time of application. You must also pass the loan originator exam on Federal and State laws and rules not more than one year before the granting of the license.
Course is presented in a series of five 4-hour modules:- Module 1: Mortgage Loan Origination Activities (4 hours)
- Module 2: Lending Standards for Traditional and Non-Traditional Mortgage Products (4 hours)
- Module 3: Federal Mortgage Law (4 hours)
- Module 4: Lending Ethics & Consumer Protection (4 hours)
- Module 5: Arizona Mortgage Law (4 hours)
What does it cost to take the SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test?
The following test administration fees are in effect for the SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test for 2009: National Component - $92 and State Component - $69, neither of which are included in the purchase price for this course.
How many times can I take the SAFE Exam?
An applicant may take the exam three (3) consecutive times. Each consecutive taking occurring at least 30 days after the preceding exam. An applicant who fails the exam on three (3) attempts must wait at least six (6) months before taking the exam again.
Are there any continuing education hours for this?
Approved by AzDFI for 12 hours Mortgage Banker/Broker CE credit and approved by ADRE for 8 hours RE Legal Issues credit and 12 hours General credit.
